MARTIN BORMANN — DECEASED | PORTRAIT NUMBER 2

A stark archival portrait of Martin Bormann, presented in WAR ARCHIVE’s distinctive DECEASED series.

Bormann rose to become head of the Nazi Party Chancellery in 1941 and was formally appointed Hitler’s secretary in 1943, becoming a powerful figure within the Nazi leadership. He died while attempting to escape Berlin during the final days of the war in 1945.

The original monochrome portrait is contrasted with a sharp red graphic treatment, creating a deliberately cold, archival aesthetic.
